BC Recreation Site — User Maintained — 1 campsites — An amazing viewpoint of the Purgatory glacier. This area is located in the traditional and unceded territory of the Nuxalkmc, or the Nuxalk People. — The Purgatory Glacier viewpoint is located at the end of the West Nusatsum Forest Service Road, approximately 22 km from Hwy 20. Travel on this road is only recommended for vehicles that have good off road tires, high ground clearance, and 4-wheel or all wheel drive. There are a few cross-ditches further up the road that have been installed for water/erosion control, and these may not be passable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
