BC Recreation Site — User Maintained — 10 campsites — An open site adjacent to Johnstone Strait, overlooking the ocean, the Thurlow Islands, and beyond. A great place to view orca whales, and cruise ships! *RSTBC is aware of a cabin which has been constructed on the point out past the Little Bear Bay Recreation site and we are investigating. — From Campbell River, head north on Highway 19 for 41 km and turn right onto Rock Bay Road (gravel). Not far from Rock Bay the road splits. Turn left towards Little Bear Bay and the site is just another 0.8 km down the road.
