BC Recreation Site — Maintained to Standard — Cross River Canyon Recreation Site offers year-round views of mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and canyons, three warming shelters and over 100km of trail network all of which is maintained in partnership with Nipika Mountain Resort. During the summer, over 100km of hiking, running, mountain biking, and horseback riding, non-motorized multi-use trails are available. In the winter 30km of fat biking, snowshoeing, and 50km of groomed Nordic ski trails exists. Nordic trail fees apply between November 1st and April 30th. There are two public parking lots which provide access to Cross River Canyon Recreation Site. These parking lots connect to the trails and are located at Palliser Forest Service Road marker 14.9km and Cross River Forest Service Road
