Campground Camping — Payette National Forest — Cabin Creek Campground, located the West Mountains along the Middle Fork of the Weiser River, is divided into two loops. The north loop contains 12 campsites. The south loop (opening in late June 2025) contains six equestrian-themed campsites, though they are available for use by any visitor on a first-come, first-served basis. Potable water is available by hand pump in the north loop. Recreation opportunities in the area include fishing; hunting; hiking, motorcycle riding, horseback riding, and mountain biking on the adjacent Council Mountain Trail (#198), extended to the campground in 2024; OHV riding, including on the Bear Gap ATV Trail (#209, up to 50” width, open to motorized use May 15 through Sept. 30), located to the southeast of
