BC Recreation Site — User Maintained — A large, forested area of Crown Land, just over 2800 hectares, nestled between Garibaldi Park and Whistler's Function Junction. This area was once an active logging area, it is now an interpretive forest, full of hiking and biking trails, with interpretive signs for the public to learn about forestry related topics (ecosystems, wildlife, landscape history). A great place for many day hikes. Access to East Jane Lake trail and Cheakamus Lake Trail, into Garibaldi Provincial Park. Loggers Lake is popular for fishing, about an 8-minute walk uphill from the car park along the rough dirt road. The lake is located inside a volcanic crater.
