Campground Camping — Sawtooth National Forest — Whiskey Flats is a small campground comprised of 4 single-sites. All sites are first-come, first-serve. It is a popular fishing campground located along the Salmon River where there is excellent steelhead and trout fishing. Hiking and backpacking are popular in this area between the Salmon-Challis National Forest and the White Clouds Wilderness Area. There are several creeks to explore and try your luck fishing in. Torreys Hole boat launch is just to the west along Hwy 75 and a forest service road leads you south into the White Clouds Wilderness Area along Slate Creek through Sheephead Creek, Silver Rule Creek, Last Chance Creek, and ends at a trail that takes you to Hoodoo Lake.
