Campground Camping — Klamath National Forest — In the 1800s, Chinese immigrants lived and farmed on this stretch of flat land along the Klamath River. They sold vegetables to the miners and worked in the local mines. They imported a homeland tree called the Tree of Heaven to remind them of their native land. Today the Tree of Heaven Campground is popular for its shaded, grassy campsites, close proximity to Yreka and great access to the Klamath River. Dogs on leash only. Please clean up after your dog. Camping limit 14 days. This is Bear Country. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended. Always keep a clean camp and do not feed animals, squirrels and rodents.
