Campground Camping — Caribou-Targhee National Forest — St. Charles Campground is located in pretty St. Charles Canyon, adjacent to St. Charles Creek approximately three miles from Highway 89 and eight miles west of Bear Lake State Park and North Beach. Stands of aspens provide partial shade, and lodgepole pines, willows, dogwoods, Engelmann spruces, and wild roses dot the landscape. St. Charles Creek has good cutthroat trout fishing, and beautiful Bear Lake is nearby, with boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, and sightseeing.
