BC Recreation Site — The Sproat Mountain Lookout Trail is a 7.5km trail to the top of Sproat Mountain to a fire lookout. The trail is maintained by the Revelstoke ATV club. The trail is open to ATVs, side by sides, and motorcycles. On-highway vehicles are NOT permitted. For the 2024 summer season the ATV trail is closed on weekdays due to active logging at the trail head. The Trail can be accessed on the weekends starting July 15. The ATV trail is closed annually from March 15 to July 15 of each year to protect early season Grizzly Bear range. Vehicles must stay on the trail and park in the designated area at the lookout--vehicles are strictly prohibited in the alpine.
