Campground Camping — Chugach National Forest — The Russian River Campground area is closed to all public vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The closure is necessary for public safety due to construction involving extensive heavy machinery use. The campground is scheduled to remain closed until June 3, 2025. A large campground with 83 sites, paved roads and spurs, and no hookups. $23 (single)/$33 (double). A non-refundable service fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov. Amenities include - water, flush toilets, tables, fire pits and dumpsters. ATTENTION: Campers Using Tents or Soft-sided Trailers - Be Bear Aware Bears have damaged tents and soft-sided trailers within Russian River Campground in the past.
