Dispersed Camping — White Mountain National Forest — The Mountain Pond shelter is a small shelter that sleeps 4-6 people. It can be reached by a one mile hike from the Slippery Brook Road with longer hiking potential along the Mountain Pond Loop which circumnavigates the entire Mountain Pond. Loons can often be seen on the pond during the summer.
