Campground Camping — Caribou-Targhee National Forest — The McCoy Creek Campground is located on the south end of the Palisades Reservoir. From Alpine, WY, take Highway 89 south to Salt River - McCoy Road #087, go west approximately 6 miles to the campground. There is a primitive boat ramp at the campground and it is possible to launch small watercraft; rafts, kayaks and canoes at high water levels. McCoy Creek and Palisades Reservoir offers great fishing. There is very limited shade in the campground. All sites have a gravel surface. There are 17 single units, first come/first served. The campground host is not on site, but checks the campground regularly. Water and vault toilets are available.
