Campground Camping — Mark Twain National Forest — Located deep in the interior forests of Shannon county, this campground is situated along the south-east shore of the 22-acre Logger's Lake. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Camp 1730 located in Bunker, constructed Loggers Lake in the late 1930’s. Several springs feed water into the lake basin, helping maintain a cooler temperature. The lake is a destination for anglers looking for non-motorized boating and quiet bank fishing. There is a memorial to the CCC located in the campground. The campground area is located on the southeast lakeshore and all sites have a view of the lake, with only light vegetation in between.
