Campground Camping — Ashley National Forest — Lodgepole Campground is settled near beautiful Flaming Gorge Reservoir just 26 miles north of Vernal, Utah, at an elevation of 8,000 feet. Visitors enjoy exploring local trails and day-tripping to the reservoir, only 10 miles away. A scenic aspen forest dotted with pines covers the campground, offering pleasant shade and pretty fall color. Summer wildflowers are abundant in this shady, secluded campground. Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site.
