BC Recreation Site — Maintained to Standard — 32 campsites — Located south of Canim Lake, the recreation site on Howard Lake is a popular fishing, boating and camping location. A new large fishing dock installed in the spring of 2015 provides angling opportunities for visitors who don't have access to a boat. Boaters should be aware that power-driven vessels and vessels driven by electrical propulsion are subject to an engine power limit on this lake under the Vessel Operation Restriction Regulations (Transport Canada). The maximum engine power allowed at this lake is 7.45 Kilowatts (10hp). — From 100 Mile House, travel 2km north on Hwy 97 and turn right/east onto the Canim-Hendrix Lake Road. Travel 21km to Forest Grove and turn right/east, following the signs toward Canim Lake. Travel 13k
