Campground — Overview Hook Point Cabin is situated 1.5 miles west of Hook Point on Hinchinbrook Island in the Chugach National Forest. Visitors to the cabin will find many opportunities for recreation and relaxation in the vicinity. Fishing, hunting, beachcombing, hiking and wildlife viewing are all easily accessible from the site. Access to the cabin is by wheeled plane on the beach at low tide only, 15 minutes from Cordova. The landing area is a half-mile from the cabin. Visitors are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities. Recreation Hook Point Cabin has two small creeks in the area, but only one of them is fishable. Pink salmon, coho salmon and cutthroat trout are found in a creek about a mile east of the cabin.
