Campground Camping — Medicine Bow-Routt NFs and Thunder Basin NG — * NOTE: This campground is closed for the season. Hinman (Park) Campground has 13 primitive single-family campsites and is located near Elk River in the Routt National Forest and 22 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and is a gateway to the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness along the Elk River Corridor. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs up to 22 feet long. Each site also has a picnic table, fire ring and grate. The primitive campground is first-come, first- serve and usually open early June through October. Amenities include two vault toilets (no water available) .
