Campground Camping — Tahoe National Forest — French Meadows Campground is located on the south shore of French Meadows Reservoir in a coniferous forest. Campground is in close proximity to the Granite Chief Wilderness. Late season start up in progress, campers are suggested to bring their own water. French Meadows may be reached by taking Mosquito Ridge Road or Foresthill Road to Forest Road 43, however, trailers and motor homes are not recommended on this route. Caution: have a full fuel tank before leaving Foresthill. There are no services beyond that point and extremely limited cell phone coverage.
