BC Recreation Site — Maintained to Standard — 7 campsites — This open, grassy recreation site is located on the northeast side of Fletcher Lake. This is a popular fishing destination that is easily accessible for most vehicles, even larger trailers and motorhomes. The lake is also a popular spot amongst locals for ice fishing during the winter. There are opportunities for bird watching here as well. Indigenous information: The Tsilhqot'in Nation refer to this area as Biny Gunchagh (pronounced Bee Goon-chaw), meaning "big lake." The Tsilhqot'in Nation have a population of over 4,000, and are comprised of six (6) individual communities - Tl'etinqox (Anaham), Tl'esqox (Toosey / Riske Creek), Tsideldel (Redstone), Xeni Gwet'in (Nemiah), Yunesit'in (Stone) and ?Esdilagh (Alexandria).
