BC Recreation Site — Maintained to Standard — 4 campsites — ATTENTION: VIEWING PLATFORM IS CLOSED DUE TO UNSTABLE ROCKS AND TREES ABOVE - DO NOT ENTER This is a medium-sized ,semi-open beach site on the west shore of Kootenay Lake. A trail above the camping area leads to a spectacular waterfall and moss-lined grotto on Fletcher Creek. The falls are most spectacular in the spring when visitors are washed by the cool mist off the falls. Fires allowed on south side of creek only. North side of the creek contains the day use site. — From Kaslo, head south on Highway #31 for 6.0 km and turn left onto Fletcher Creek Frontage. From Ainsworth head north on highway #31 for 12.5 km, turn right onto the north end of Fletcher Creek Frontage. You will see parking lot signs for the site. Parallel parkin
