No potable water. Short walking trails. A small boat launch. Swimming beach. The Okanagan Lake Recreation Site was renamed the Evely Recreation Site in honour of the late Glen Evely to pay tribute to his commitment to public service. The site was chosen for its natural beauty and for its proximity to Vernon. Evely, a 12-year employee of the Forest Service, was killed in a car crash near Vernon on Nov.13, 2004. H
