Campground Camping — Boise National Forest — Dog Creek Campground is located four miles north of the town of Pine, Idaho, in a ponderosa pine forest. Situated along the banks of Dog Creek, at the foot of the Trinity Mountain Range and within 1/8 mile of the South Fork Boise River. Deer and humming birds were often sighted. Fishing is allowed in South Fork Boise River. Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming and exploring trails in the surrounding area. Natural Features: The campground was settled in a grassy meadow. Surrounded by stands of cottonwood, aspen, Douglas fir and ponderosa pine, at an elevation of 4,400 feet. Recreation: The South Fork Boise River runs along the eastern edge of the campground, offering rafting, swimming and fishing for rainbow trout. Paradise Hot Springs is nearby. Gre
