Campground Camping — Santa Fe National Forest — Black Canyon Campground is one of the more popular campgrounds on the Santa Fe National Forest and offers the most amenities of any of the campgrounds in the Espanola Ranger District. Some sites are single- and double-family camping sites. Six are tent-camping only and visitors must park and travel to the campsite. A few are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 36 units for cars and RVs. There are picnic tables and grills, a campground host on-site, vaulted toilets, and several double sites to accommodate a maximum of 16 people. There is a very nice hiking trail that leaves the back of the campground and makes a loop of about a mile, returning to the campground. Park outside the main gate and travel in if you are using the
