Close to Ashcroft, Barnes Lake is a popular fishing lake for rainbow trout. Fly fishing and trolling are the preferred methods. This camp site has 15 defined vehicle units in 3 separate locations. There are nine at the north end, one mid-way with a concrete pad (usually reserved for the Site Operator), and 5 on the west/south end of the site. Day Users please park in the Day Use area. The lake water level can fluctuate causing the boat launch at the north end to flood during periods of high water. Visit nearby Willard Lake while you are in the area.
