Campground Camping — Medicine Bow-Routt NFs and Thunder Basin NG — This Campground will close on October 24th, 2024. Aspen Campground has 7 sites and is located near Gould, CO. It is approximately 22 miles southeast of Walden and is adjacent to the South Fork of the Michigan River and has an elevation of 9,200 ft. Aspen Campground is very primitive camping and is best suited for tent camping and small trailers up to 20 feet in length. The campground itself is a small loop in a large grove of aspen and the soil is rich with Columbine flowers. The amount of shade at each campsite varies widely.
